Committed staff                                                                             work closely with the clients and their families providing guidance and support to prepare the youth in our programs to live responsible and                                                                                           productive lives.

Genesis Youth Crisis Center, Inc.
Genesis Youth Crisis Center, Inc.'s services include emergency shelter care, foster care, and adoption services. Beginning in 1980, to provide shelter to homeless youth, we have evolved our purpose, but have maintained our mission, "To Provide a Safe Haven for Children that Fosters Hope." Providing a therapeutic environment comprised of individual therapy by in house clinical therapist, group interaction, life skills and behavior management, our two shelters offer crisis support to over 200 youth from all 55 WV counties each year. In an effort to "provide a safe haven" to more of West Virginia's youth and to aid a needed population, in 2014 we launched Genesis Foster Care and Adoption Services. This program serves to work with families to provide children with a positive, supportive environment that resembles a natural family. We believe we can help children thrive by helping them develop the                                                                          skills  necessary to function as a member of a family, with our ultimate goal to achieve permanency.
